GOLF SCHOOL PHILOSOPHY
Lori Randle, Lead Bear Mountain Golf Academy Instructor, believes that everyone can learn to play better golf and get more enjoyment from his or her game. In order to help her students, she has developed a program of instruction that is easy to understand and effective for all levels of golfer.
At the heart of the school’s philosophy is the knowledge that every golfer is different. Each student has her own learning style, physical abilities and goals for golf. This fact shapes each school’s itinerary to fit each student’s needs.
Lori believes the reason most female golfers fail to improve is the information and concepts they are using to shape their games is incorrect. Experience has shown her most golfers, in their pursuit of these wrong concepts, are trying to accomplish things in their swings that will never work. When lady golfers are shown the correct concepts they usually improve quite rapidly.
key concepts for a consistent swing
All golfers need to understand that golf clubs, from putter to driver, need to do certain things through the impact zone to create a good golf shot. The clubface must return to square at impact, it must be swinging towards the target at impact and the ball must be struck in the centre of the face.
Most golfers are familiar with these ideas but don’t truly understand what they mean. Lori’s first goal is to ensure each student understands these key concepts because they form the foundation of everyone’s golf game.
Each golfer needs to learn how she should swing the club. While the golf club needs to do certain things through impact, each golfer must learn a swing best suited to her strength, flexibility and time for the game. Lori doesn’t ask students to make swings like the pros; she helps students learn THEIR best swing.
So there you have it. You will learn WHAT the club should be doing to hit consistent golf shots and HOW you should be swinging to make it happen. This combination will give you the blueprint for your golf game for the rest of your life.
