Fairway Woods

The driver, 3 wood and 5 wood are common in a golf bag but now ladies are taking the 3 iron, 4 iron and 5 iron out of the bag and replacing them with a 7 wood, 9 wood and an 11 wood. I have been giving many woods clinics and club fittings over the last few years and it is amazing the reaction when ladies try a 7 wood or a 9 wood. The lower center of gravity translates into more height and the increased head mass gives a more solid hit, which for most people translates, into more distance and I know we all want more of that.
