PRIVATE INSTRUCTION with LORI

Private Lessons | Coaching Programs | Semi-Private Lessons
Video Instruction | On-Course Lessons | Junior Lessons

Private and semi-private golf lessons with Lori are ideal for students looking for focused advice on their personal needs.

Private Lessons

Private lessons will give you a chance to work one-on-one with Lori and are great for golfers of all abilities.

All first time students with Lori must enroll in a 60-minute lesson or longer.  This is critical so Lori can learn about the student’s goals, athletic background, fitness level, learning style, etc.  Students get a deal on their first lesson with Lori when they sign up for an ongoing lesson program. The regular price for a 60-minute private lesson with Lori is $125.  When a student signs up for a package, their first lesson is built into the package as the first lesson.  This”Intro Lesson” allows plenty of time for you and Lori to get to know each other while still providing lots of time to make instant improvements to your game.

Lori offers several package options. These packages afford you the chance to make lasting strides in several parts of the game. It is important to note, while Lori is an excellent instructor, she is not a magician! If you are expecting your entire game to change with one lesson, you may want to rethink your goals! Lori does teach many students who only come for a single lesson but these students are looking for a couple of tips or need help with a very specific situation.

Lori encourages students who enroll in a package to schedule the first few lessons in a fairly tight time line to get the maximum improvement. Students who take four lessons over the course of 2 weeks always show much more improvement than students who choose to spread the four lessons over 4 weeks or more.  To promote this idea, Lori offers a “Fast Track” Program that offers a nice savings if you take four 45-minute lessons in a two week period.  Why not improve quickly?

Coaching Program

Coaching programs are designed for more serious students who are looking to really explore their maximum potential. These programs are customized for each student depending on their goals and available practice time. Offering complete game attention, Lori’s preference is to use lesson time with 1/3 on the full swing, 1/3 on the short game and 1/3 on the golf course. Coaching Program students also receive a Learning Manual to be used in conjunction with the lessons.

Lori encourages students who are interested in a Coaching Program to contact Lori directly to discuss the details and to schedule the first session.

10 Hour Coaching Program – $900

  • Ten hours of private instruction
  • Includes an additional 5 Total Game Clinics which can be used as supervised practice sessions

Video Instruction

Lori uses a state-of-the-art, computer swing analyzer that utilizes V1 software. This is the same software Butch Harmon and most of the world’s best instructors use with their students. This system takes video golf instruction to the next level.

Features and benefits of your video lesson

  • Video allows you to see your swing for clearer understanding of Lori’s message.
  • Lori can add graphics to emphasize certain points.
  • The system allows Lori to compare your swing to a model swing, side by side on the screen. This feature also allows for comparing your new and old swing to see your improvement.
  • The student receives a video summary of the lesson via the Internet, complete with graphics, swing comparisons and Lori’s audio.
  • Seeing is believing

Lori only offers video instruction in 90-minute lessons or longer to ensure maximum use of the video images.    Video sessions are $175 and include the video summary via the internet.

On-Course Instruction

Most golfers are considerable better on the range than they are on the course or their scores don’t reflect how they can hit the ball. The main reason is most golfers have never been taught the skills needed to maximize their performance on the course.

Lori believes there are three kinds of lessons – golf swing, short game and golf. Most golfers think a golf lesson is what happens on the lesson tee. In actual fact, most lessons received on the range are “Golf Swing” lessons. While you can simulate real life situations on the terrific practice facility at Bear Mountain, the best place to learn how to play golf is on the course.

On-course instruction will help you improve the following and much more:

  • Your ability to make course management decisions consistent with your skill level
  • Your understanding of “Personal Par” and how it should shape your decision making
  • Your ability to pick targets so you can get away with poor shots more often
  • Your ability to read greens
  • Your ability to focus on the shot at hand and not all the bad things that might happen
  • Your ability to pick the correct shots around the green to make scoring easier

Playing lesson rates are the same as the regular private and semi-private rates.  Lori’s preference is do playing lessons early in the morning or later in the day so pace of play is not a concern.
