Follow Through

As you can see my arms and wrists are one solid piece. To get this position, you need to release the club properly. To do this, you need to close the club face. Also look at how straight my arms are. This extension will help with contact and if you extend your arms to the target, the ball will go straighter.

Good - Solid Wrists and
  Extension with Arms

Make sure to have your body facing the target when you finish your swing. This will help give you more power and the weight transfer to your front foot will help with distance as well.

Good - Full Follow Through

Most golfers try to keep the club face looking at the target for as long as they can. This will cause a slice and it will also cause your wrists to FLIP. This could also give you a collapsed swing with your arms. This will cause topped shots as well as the slice. Another very common error is to try to get under the ball. This will cause your shoulders to dip causing a divot before you hit the ball. This is called a FAT shot. This could also give you a very small, collapsed swing that will cause you to top the ball and also loose distance.

Bad - Breaking the Wrists

   (or under the ball)

The best advice is to swing down and through to the target. The arms need to be to the target. This will give you more consistent and straight your shots.
