Meet
Some of Our Students
We
are very proud of our program and all of our students.
They work hard, enjoy golf and behave like great people
at all times.
Here
are a few of our students who have done well the last
couple of years and a few kind words about John and
the program.
Tai
Reynolds
Tai
has been working with John since January of 2005. During
this time, Tai has developed into a steady and good
performer. He is presently playing collegiate golf at
Southern Utah University as a freshman. In the fall
semester, Tai played in 4 events, twice finishing in
the top 10 and winning the Conference Player of the
Week award once. Pretty amazing stuff for a freshman.
Tai is a great role model for other junior golfers combining
a great work ethic with excellent behavior on and off
the course.

Ashton
Herriott
Ashton
first started working with John on his game in the summer
of 2004. Ashton is a naturally gifted player and a fiery
competitor. He is presently in his freshman year at the
University of Hawaii. Another great success story, Ashton
shows what hard work can accomplish. John is very proud
of the player Ashton has become and looks for big things
in the future.

Jared
Hundza
Jared
took part in the Elite Junior Program in the winter
and spring of 2006. Jared has loads of talent and as
a Juvenile, had a terrific 2006 season. He had several
top-6 finishes in tournaments, often winning his age
category. Jared is going to be a great player and more
importantly, is a pleasure to be around at all times.

Tim
Wang
Tim
has joined John's International Program at the academy
from China. His infectious smile and great demeanor
has made Tim a big hit with everyone at Olympic View.
Tim is destined for great golf and is working hard in
preparation for the 2007 season. He is doing very well,
especially considering he is also learning to speak
English.
A
few words from Tim about John:
I
was practicing and learning golf for five months and
very happy I can study golf with John. When I came here,
I had very bad swing and wasn't very interested for
golf but John can lets me be happy. He has helped me
to improve my golf a lot. I and my family all like him
and I think I will study with him to be a very good
professional golf player.
Eric
Smith
Eric
has been working with John for several years. He had
a break out year in 2004, winning several events, capturing
the Zone Junior Order of Merit and Player of the Year
award. While his results in 2005 and 2006 didn't live
up to his expectations, Eric is now a top member of
Camosun College's golf team and helped lead them to
a conference championship in 2006. He is enrolled in
the Professional Golf Management program. He has rededicated
himself to golf and is making plans to play professionally.
Kyle
Thorau
Kyle
and his brother Tyler have taken lessons from John since
the Elite Junior Program in the winter of 2005/2006.
Like his brother, Kyle is a gifted athlete and excels
at basketball, soccer and golf. When his mind is on
golf, Kyle is a terrific player, combining power off
the tee with accurate iron play. He has a bright future
in whatever sport he eventually specializes in.

Tyler
is Kyle's twin brother. As stated above, he is an excellent
athlete and plays golf, soccer and basketball at a high
level. Tyler had a break out year in 2006 with many
high finishes including 2 victories. Like his brother,
Tyler has prodigious length off the tee and when he's
on, his irons are deadly accurate.

Brendon
Lewis
Brendon
is just starting to scratch the surface of his potential.
He is a gifted athlete who is very strong. Like most
younger golfers, when his game matures, he will be a
force to be reckoned with.
In
2006, Brendon consistently finished in the top 15 in
tournaments with scores in the low 80's and high 70's..
He improved steadily over the season and finished the
year with scores of 74 - 74 at the Lyle Crawford Junior
and a round of 74 at the BC Juvenile Championship in
August. John is looking forward to 2007 as a break out
year for Brendon.
