About Victoria, BC Canada

Attractions

Victoria is located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island. It features Canada's best climate with year round golf and leisure activities. Students who attend the golf academy have the opportunity to live in a very safe community. The crime rate is very low and unemployment is very low as well. The result is a very pleasant city to attend school and travel around.

Canada welcomes people from all over the world. This melting pot of cultures offers our students the chance to learn about many different traditions in addition to those celebrated in Canada.

When golf isn't on the schedule, Victoria offers many outdoor activities to keep our students busy. Several parks provide exciting trails for hiking and viewing our spectacular west coast wildlife. Deer, hawks, eagles, killer whales, sea lions and many more animals make their home in our area.

Victoria, BC has long been a hugely popular city for tourists. It offers an unbeatable combination of oceans and mountains which meet to create unparalleled beauty. In addition, the city offers a diverse array of activities which will undoubtedly make your time here (when you're not golfing) truly unforgettable. If you are like most visitors to Victoria, one visit will not be enough! An excellent resource for information about Victoria is the Tourism Victoria web site.

Some of the accolades Victoria has received in recent years:

  •  Condé Nast Traveler magazine rated Victoria the best city in the Americas. It ranked second in the world for ambiance, nosed out by Carmel, California.

  •  Condé Nast Traveler magazine also ranked Vancouver Island as the best island in North America, finishing ahead of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and Kiawah, South Carolina. These names are not new to golf fans.

  •   In 2002, the readers of Condé Nast Traveler magazine ranked Victoria as the fifth best city in the world. Cities finishing ahead of Victoria included Sydney, Australia, Rome and Florence. Pretty impressive company!

  •  The readers of Travel and Leisure magazine ranked Vancouver Island as the best island in North America in 2002.

You are probably getting the idea. If you are coming for a three-day golf school, you may want to add a few days on the start or end of your stay!
