Year-Long Program for Juniors

Program Details

Launched in September 2006, this program is already living up to the GBC Golf Academy's track record of excellence.

At the heart of this program is the world-class golf instruction by award winning teacher, John Randle, in Canada's best climate. The program provides serious juniors from all over the world the chance to take their games to the highest possible level. What more can any junior golfer ask for but the opportunity to reach their potential?

The year-long program provides a periodized approach to training elite junior golfers. The program varies instructional focus based on the time of year and students' competitive schedules.

Winter Session - Focus is on making swing improvements and sharpening competitive skills and short game. Lots of time is also spent on time management skills and goal setting for success.

Spring Session - Focus shifts to the mental game and short game. Swing instruction is limited to pre-shot basics and maintenance of key elements.

Summer Session - Same as Spring Series as big events of the year are at this time of year.

Fall Session - Sometimes called the off-season, this time of year is best used working on fitness and recharging the golfer's mind. Evaluating the previous year of golf and setting goals for the next season are key elements of this time of year.

Instruction focuses on the swing, putting, short game, fitness and nutrition, mental game and the best ways to prepare for tournaments. The program also includes input from our various experts that work with academy students on fitness and nutrition and scholarship pursuit.

The key elements of the program are the use of group settings to provide lots of instruction on topics well suited to that format while providing private instruction on the golf swing. This approach will keep the cost of attending our academy very affordable, making it available to many more junior golfers than most other world-class programs!

At this time, the cost of attending our academy in the year-long program is $9900.00. This will include:

  •  Over 6 hours of instruction per week, exclusively with John Randle
  •  Two 60-minute private lessons per week (more lessons can be added for a fee)
  •  Four hours of group sessions per week on fitness, nutrition, mental game, tournament prep, short game, goal setting, scholarship pursuit, etc. Group sizes will be limited to ensure maximum productivity
