Good Posture leads to a Good Swing
Good
posture is the gateway to athletic motion. Two key elements
for good posture are a straight spine and good body "stacking".
A
straight spine speaks for itself. Many people end up with
a rounded posture because they either end up burying their
heads in their chest (picture 1) or they bend at the waist
instead of the hips (picture 2). To ensure good posture,
ensure you are tilting to the ball by pushing your hips
back, maintaining a straight spine.
Good
"Stacking" means the key joints of your body are
aligned vertically. Ideally, your shoulder joints, kneecaps
and balls of your feet should all be on the same vertical
line, as in picture 3. This orientation will ensure you
are well balanced and ready for action.
