Beginner Tip of the Month
Build a Good Foundation with Instruction
You
are new to the game, or haven't had a chance to play much
over the years. If you are like most golfers, you are probably
suffering from the effects of using the wrong information.
Golf is a sport where many of the concepts golfers use to
build their swings are flat out wrong. Mike Weir has a coach
he sees on a regular basis to help him refine his golf swing.
If you are a golfer who has just started or who isn't playing
up to your potential, I urge you to see a CPGA Professional
in your area for some lessons. The information they will
give you will help you reach your potential a lot faster
than on your own or by trying to tape together a series
of tips from friends.
Most
facilities will offer a wide variety of instructional programs
that will appeal to every skill level and budget. At our
academy, The GBC Golf Academy at Olympic View, we have lessons
that range from $15 dollar clinics all the way up to intensive
coaching programs and golf schools. Whichever route you
decide to take, instruction will get you on the road to
better golf and help you avoid the frustration that most
golfers encounter when they try to build a game using concepts
that are wrong.
