Good Pressure Putting

As a better player, you probably face some pressure putts, either with your friends or during competition. To perform better on the course, you need to practice with some pressure. The following two drills are very good for putting some pressure on your putting stroke on the practice green.

Compass Drill - Place balls at four corners around a hole at about 3 feet. To complete the drill, you must make all four putts in a row. Upon completion, move the balls further from the hole until you can make 4 putts from 6 feet. To make it especially challenging, pick a hole on the practice green that has some good slope around it.

Line Drill - Place balls in a line every two feet moving back from the hole. Like the compass drill, you must make all the balls in a row to complete the drill. Use as many balls as you like and pick a breaking putt to add challenge.

Use these two drills and you will become a great short putter under pressure.
