city in the Americas. It ranked second in the world
for ambiance, nosed out by Carmel, California.

as the best island in North America, finishing ahead
of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia and Kiawah, South Carolina.
These names are not new to golf fans.
- In
2002, the readers of Condé Nast Traveler
magazine ranked Victoria as the fifth best city
in the world. Cities finishing ahead of Victoria included
Sydney, Australia, Rome and Florence. Pretty impressive

to entertain, non-golfers can spend all day wandering
around and be completely content. To top it off, Victoria's
Parliament Buildings overlook the harbour and is beautifully
lit at night.

Fairmont Empress Hotel - World famous for
its Victorian hospitality and afternoon tea, the Empress
